SNJDC School Construction Seminar

Mount Laurel, NJ (November 19, 2002) - Approximately 200 design and construction professionals of South Jersey attended the Southern New Jersey Development Council's (SNJDC) Schools Construction Seminar to acquire a better understanding of the new EDA subsidiary corporation, New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (SCC), and to learn about the significant amount of school construction taking place in South Jersey.

Alfred T. McNeill, CEO, provided an overview of SCC program and discussed the number of school construction projects taking place in South Jersey. Over $1.6 billion of school construction projects will be built by SCC in South Jersey over the next few years. Andrew Yosha, Director, Contract Procurement and Administration, discussed how to pre-qualify with SCC and explained the bidding process; Donald Moore, Director, Design & Construction, discussed how to work with SCC and SCC Project Management Firms (PMF) on school construction projects.

SCC was created to provide a concentrated focus and streamlined approach to the timely and efficient construction and financing of quality schools in New Jersey.
