Trenton Central High School Students Intern with SCC
Learning the Ropes of School Construction
Trenton, NJ (August 2004)
- Trenton Central High School students Harry Julian, Mijah Christie and Patrick Alvarado spent the summer of 2004 as interns with the New Jersey Schools Corporation (SCC) regional office in Trenton. Through the internship, the students experienced the day-to-day business of SCC monitoring and oversight responsibilities during the design and construction phases of school projects. They also gained first-hand insights into the positive impact SCC is having in their own school high school in the Abbott district of Trenton, as well as in public school districts throughout the state. SCC is due to break ground later this year for a $126 million expansion of Trenton Central High School, this project is in addition to seven school projects totaling over $90 million that SCC currently has underway in Trenton.
