Governor McGreevey Opens New West New York Middle School

West New York, NJ (September 9, 2004) – Governor James E. McGreevey, joined by Assembly Speaker and Mayor Albio Sires, today formally opened a new, state-of-the-art middle school in West New York.

"Less than two years ago, I had the pleasure of being here to break ground on this state-of-the-art school," said Governor McGreevey. "Today, it is a great honor to be here as we open the West New York Middle School and launch new opportunities for the children of this city.  Because of a $29.8 million investment from the state, 1,000 children will receive an education here that prepares them for the future, in un-crowded, 21st century classrooms."
