Ground Breaks on Elizabeth School No. 28

Elizabeth, NJ (May 31, 2006) - Continuing the momentum of building schools throughout the State, the SCC broke ground on another new school in Elizabeth - the Juan Pablo Duarte-Jose Julian Marti School No. 28. The ceremony included numerous local and state officials, community and faith-based groups, as well as students.

The school, which is located near the water, will be a pre-K to 8 building and will house 750 students. It will include athletic space, science rooms, music rooms as well as 21st century technology throughout the building. The new school will help address the district's growing student population and provide smaller class sizes to promote a better learning environment for the pupils.
