As SDA designs and constructs 21st century schools throughout New Jersey, a number of school districts are incorporating spaces that will be shared with the community in their school buildings. Some of these "community spaces" were designed to accommodate particular educational and community programs while others are traditional school spaces the school district makes available for community use. Community spaces host a wide range of educational, recreational, civic and cultural programs but all are "community schools", serving the unique needs and interests of the school and community.
SDA is pleased to present a few examples of community spaces in new/renovated New Jersey schools for your information and inspiration.
